This person will be responsible for
contribute to the success of the team by assisting with all aspects of design
development, sourcing, meeting preparation, technical drawings, collection
samples, maintaining organized binders and sample library.
Responsibilities
Specification documents – Produce full and accurate specification documents
with little review and input required from seniors.
Material boards – Make full selections for all materials required and
produce material boards.
Layout plans – Produce well thought out and accurate layouts which comply
with standards and are ergonomically respective, using accurate furniture
blocks with some input from seniors and little revisions.
Look and Feel – Produce creative and elegant ‘look and feel’ presentations
that are relevant and bespoke to each client, emphasizing that we understand
them and what they are looking for.
Presentations – Produce full presentations, portraying a complete story of
our thought process in how and why we are the right company to do their
project. Always displaying unique, creative solutions with a high level of
attention to detail.
MOMs – Produce accurate minutes of meeting with little input from seniors
and little revisions.
Product knowledge – Have a broad knowledge of materials and vendors
available in the local market.
Be a flexible, all round designer, with the ability to multi-task on
different stages of different projects for the various senior designers at
any one point.
Time management – handle tasks in a timely fashion without prompting from
seniors.
Layouts – more accurate CAD work (layers, placement attention to detail).
Presentations – Closer attention to detail.
Design – Design more one-off spaces with in each project
Be more organized & thorough in general by developing filing and note
taking strategies in order to ensure nothing is missed.
Develop verbal communication skills both orally and written.
Requirements
Impeccable organizations and documentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills being able to coordinate
directly with contractors, clients and external project managers as a SBID
representative.
