With a new contract commencing in early 2025, we currently have a full time and part time role available for Head Chefs to join the Spotless team. Spotless, as a subcontractor to Secure Journeys, will be responsible for preparing and serving culturally diverse, nutritious meals contributing to the overall health and well-being of those in the centres.
What you’ll do
The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
Menu design and procurement of goods
Allergen and dietary responsibility
Day to day management of chefs and front of house teams
Assemble, prepare, and produce food requirements as directed by the Catering Manager. This includes food safety, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, managing stock control, and adhering to all kitchen policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with the HACCP Food Safety Plan, monitoring food safety standards and practices, maintaining hygiene in food preparation areas, and completing all Food Safety Documentation accurately and timely.
Monitor and enforce food storage standards, ensuring proper handling and rotation of stock using First In, First Out (FIFO) principles, and maintaining appropriate holding temperatures for perishable items.
Ensure compliance with our Standards of Business Conduct and contribute to a culture of safety and quality improvement.
What you’ll bring
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Knowledge of menu and nutritional standards
Full understanding of HACCP Food Safety guidelines
Exemplary cooking skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
