What’s the role?

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Sydney. You will be part of our multi-billion-dollar UNITE program for the Business and Wealth Division, achieving the proposed migrations from existing source systems to target systems. 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead solution design discussions and workshops with delivery squads to achieve programme outcomes
  • Support issue, risk, and gap investigations during design and implementation as the SME for the assigned scope
  • Ownership of the end to end solution design as the subject matter expert
  • Manage various types of risk to Westpac by incorporating appropriate controls (monitoring, reconciliation etc) in designs
  • Aligning designs to enterprise architecture, standards, & policies for any produced solution design artefacts. 
  • Maintaining a register of design principles, decisions and associated documentation


What do I need?

To be successful for this role you should have proven experience in large data migration and have a proactive approach to work. You should also have the below skills and experience: 

  • Database technologies experience (eg. Oracle, SQL Server etc)
  • System integration patterns experience (i.e.. Restful APIs)
  • Working knowledge of technology languages: Java, JSON, SQL, etc
  • Data Warehouse / ETL concepts & technologies
