Head of KAM

Mission

We are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven global head of key account management to lead and scale our key account management (KAM) function globally. This individual will drive customer success, revenue growth, and long-term partnerships across multiple customer segments and verticals.

 

The ideal candidate has a strong background in business development, enterprise sales, and account management in an international B2B environment. He will be responsible for leading a team of experienced key account managers, defining strategic plans, and implementing best-in-class account management practices to ensure sustainable growth and client retention.

Main responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Strategic leadership & account growth

  • Develop and execute a global key account management strategy aligned with overall business goals.
  • Define customer segmentation, growth opportunities, and account expansion strategies across multiple verticals.
  • Drive revenue growth by deepening relationships with existing key accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to tailor solutions for top-tier clients.

 

Team leadership & development

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a global team of key account managers (KAMS), fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Establish best practices in account planning, consultative selling, and customer engagement.
  • Ensure continuous training and professional development for the team.

 

Customer success & retention

  • Develop and implement structured customer success strategies to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
  • Serve as an executive sponsor for major global accounts, ensuring high-level engagement and value delivery.
  • Build deep, trusted relationships with c-suite and senior stakeholders within key accounts.

 

Operational excellence & performance metrics

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIS) for account growth, retention, and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement data-driven account management processes using CRM tools and analytics.
  • Ensure alignment with regional and global business units to drive consistency in customer engagement.

 

Market & competitive intelligence

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, market shifts, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Leverage insights to adapt and refine key account strategies across different regions.
  • Represent the company at key industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.

Your profile

Experience & background

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B key account management, business development, or enterprise sales in an international environment.
  • Proven track record of managing and scaling a global KAM team across multiple verticals or customer segments.
  • Experience in the apparel imprint, branded merchandise, or corporate solutions industry is a plus.
  • Strong ability to navigate complex, long sales cycles with enterprise-level clients.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to define and execute a structured key account management framework.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with c-suite and senior decision-makers.
  • Data-driven approach, with expertise in CRM tools and sales analytics.
  • Ability to work across cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, product, and operations).
  • Multilingual capabilities are a plus, given the global nature of the role.
