BI Modernization: Oversee an end-to-end BI re-architecture, modernizing the current legacy stack (SSRS/SSIS/SSAS) onto the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, while removing unused data, ETLs, and reports.
ETL & Data Warehouse: Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of BI ETLs (currently SSIS & manual import) and the data warehouse (currently SQL Server DB on Azure).
Reporting & Analysis: Ensure accurate, timely, and actionable reporting in PowerBI, building and optimizing dashboards and self-serve reporting.
Data Governance: Develop and maintain a data governance program, ensuring clear classification, ownership, and cleanliness of data.
Data Privacy & Compliance: In partnership with the IT Infrastructure team, ensure BI data flows, storage, and reporting follow established cybersecurity and privacy standards.
Projects: Partner closely with key stakeholders across the business to drive BI initiatives, maintaining a prioritized backlog and roadmap. Ensure requirements are well understood, business value is clear, and projects are executed with professionalism and transparency.
Operational Support: Ensure timely response to BI issues, bugs, and questions.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing BI team, while managing 3rd party BI development team resources and budget.
Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate current projects, BI insights, data governance practices, and issues to key stakeholders.
Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations.
Required background:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience
5+ years hands-on experience as a BI Developer or Data Engineer
3+ years experience leading BI teams
Demonstrated hands-on technical skills in the Microsoft BI stack, particularly PowerBI and Fabric
Strong SQL and database design skills
Solid understanding of data governance frameworks and standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects
Ability to manage multiple priorities, leading both internal and external technical resources
Preferred background:
Experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry or manufacturing
Microsoft Fabric certification or previous experience implementing Fabric
Education or experience in financial accounting

The salary range will be between $145,000 - $165,000 with a 15% bonus
