The Systems Administrator will provide technical support to both operations and executive staff, ensuring efficient system functionality and user satisfaction.


Additionally, this role will serve as the primary point of contact for Members and Suppliers, addressing inquiries related to business systems, including EDI. The Systems Administrator will play a critical role in delivering a seamless and positive experience for Members and Suppliers, contributing to a high level of satisfaction with AD.


Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Provide first-line support for primary business systems across the company, including EDI systems specific to the PHCP and AD Canada business units.
  2. Manage essential IT tasks for recurring operational functions, including the AD Canada ERP system, EDI systems, onsite AD Canada frontline technology, telecom, AV, and security systems.
  3. Evaluate customer needs/issues, analyze business processes, assist in evaluating alternatives, and determine appropriate solutions with staff and users.
  4. Support scheduled and ad-hoc reporting requests from various data sources, including the DB2 database using IBM Query or Qlik.
  5. Troubleshoot hardware, software, networks, and operating systems for the AD Canada business unit.
  6. Recommend upgrades, patches, new solutions, and technologies across all AD.
  7. Review, analyze, evaluate, and maintain telecommunication systems, including video conferencing, for the AD Canada business unit.
  8. Send communications through company channels to inform users about updates to business systems managed by this role.
  9. Collaborate with other members of the IT Department on projects and share responsibility for systems integrity, availability, security, and access.
  10. Work outside of normal business hours approximately 1-2 times per month.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
  12. Develop a deep understanding of the company’s core business functions, with a broad conceptual knowledge of each divisions or department’s activities. 

Requirements

Required:

  1. Proficiency in EDI systems, including key documents and processes, at an intermediate level.
  2. Familiarity with relational databases, particularly SQL and DB2.
  3. Knowledge of warehouse operations and ERP systems. 
  4. Experience with software support, help desk applications, and related procedures.
  5. Proficiency in quality assurance (QA) and testing methodologies. 
  6. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  8. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quick-learning abilities.
  9. Demonstrates integrity and professionalism in all aspects of work.
  10. Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Desired:

  1. Knowledge of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) 
  2. Desktop Administration (Windows 10+) experience 
  3. Wireless technology and mobile device support
  4. Experience building security systems

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in the field or two-year degree with 7+ years of experience in the field

Additional Comments:

  1. The position is based out of our Canadian office in Mississauga, ON, where you will have a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office. 
  2. Hours: 8:00a – 5:00p M-F
  3. Travel: Minimal (1 to 2 weeks a year) 
  4. Physical: Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
