Purpose:
•  Responsible for the negotiation of contracts that secure favorable terms in relation to the procurement of services and supplies contracts.  These contracts may be in support of customer-related business processes (e.g., 3rd party suppliers for a bid) or for internal use (e.g., health care, fleet, etc.).
•  Perform analytical reviews and conduct research on a variety of projects within Global Procurement.


Scope:
General:
•  Performs routine assignments in entry level of the professional career band

•  Typically a graduate, although may have progressed into the role via equivalent business experience that provide knowledge and exposure to fundamental, theories, principles, and concepts

•  Professional roles will typically require a degree in their specific discipline which may apply to specific positions.

•  Receives instruction, guidance and direction from others

•  Limited decision making authority guided by policies, procedures, and business operations protocol


Primary Responsibilities:
•  Provide cross-functional and cross-organizational support of business process improvement initiatives.

•  Support team in process, process documentation, solutions delivery and Solutions communication.

•  Develop analytical tools and reporting to enhance the current process for the procurement of transportation services.

•  Work closely with Supplier Managers across all modes of transportation to improve and develop data analytics to drive stronger negotiating during the RFQ process.

•  Supports the IT services and product sourcing process; maintain a broad understanding of how the organization sources and manages external partners

•  Work closely with commodity Value Chain Partners on various projects & objectives utilizing an appropriate supplier base.
