Position Summary :

  • Participate as an active member of the inter-professional team

  •  Provide screening and assessment, contribute to care plan development, establish goal oriented treatment interventions, conduct patient/family education and provide support to address nutritional needs
  •  Complete daily workload statistics
  •  Rotational weekend coverage required

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and completion of Dietetic Internship, or Master's or Diploma practicum program
  • Registered with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • Established clinical skills in nutritional management of Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Vascular and Cardiac Critical Care patients (CCU and CVICU). Critical Care experience an asset. 
  • Experienced in the management of enteral and parenteral nutrition support, delivery of nutrition care in a critical care setting
  • Experience managing patients with all stages of Renal Disease and diabetes
  • Reliable, flexible, creative, self-directed professional, able to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Willingness to self reflect, learn and grow in a supportive environment
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize practice based research to ensure excellence in the provision of nutritional care.
