Contract Period:
Fall Term 2025 - Wednesday, August 27, 2025 to Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

Position Summary:

  • Be present at introductory lecture and half of all subsequent lectures.
  • Aid students at office hours and via myCourses.
  • Be available to answer e-mail inquiries or direct questions. Hours flexible.
  • Provide a review session before midterm and final.
  • Attend midterm and final.
  • Prepare practice questions for students.
  • Possibility of grading exams.


Qualifications:

IMPORTANT: To be eligible for an appointment as a Teaching Assistant, students are required to be enrolled in a graduate program in the same semester that they are applying for the Teaching Assistantship.

  • Enrolled in the Graduate Program in the Department of Biochemistry or within McGill University.
  • Qualified candidate must have received final grade of “A” in BIOC 454. ​
  • Effective communication skills in English are essential. French is an asset.
