JOB SUMMARY

The mandate of Information Technology Services is to create business value by providing innovative and strategic technology solutions for the business operations of the City of Ottawa.

With a focus on data governance and  Extract/Transform/Load capabilities, you are responsible for the design and  implementation of data pipelines, data extraction and validation, data cataloging, and metadata management. You work on projects that involve cleaning, reshaping, exploring, and visualizing data in various formats, building data pipelines for BI reporting needs, and setting up data catalogs for the various clients within the City. 

You also: write and maintain systems documentation; ensure all code is managed appropriately by using software configuration management tools; follow the approved PLC as appropriate; perform tests on enhancements and new development; and train clients on business applications and/or solutions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of 3 year university degree or college diploma in information management, information technology, or related field.

Minimum of 3 years of progressively more responsible experience in applications development and/or integration.
