A Day in the Life

To support our Cranial and Spinal Technologies team, we are currently looking for an experienced Therapy Sales Specialist.

We offer you a position where you will acquire, maintain, and develop the Spine Therapies (Core Spine, Biologics) within existing and new customers in line with the “District Sales Manager Cranial and Spinal Technologies” guidelines in the defined sales territory while meeting or exceeding financial and non-financial targets, in a way that enhances Medtronic’s reputation in the market.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Provide clinical case support in operating room to surgeons and nursing staff in the operating theatre.
  • Acquire, maintaining, and developing new and existing customers within the assigned territory.
  • Analyze the marketplace, developing an effective territory/account sales strategy, and presenting the strategy to management to gain approval for implementation.
  • Build strong and lasting business relationships with key decision makers and those influential in the purchasing process.
  • Train and educate relevant hospital staff on Spine Portfolio Products (Core Spine, Biologics), using Medtronic resources in the most effective way.
  • Report all account, market and competitive information and trends and metrics in a comprehensive, complete, and timely fashion.
  • Plan and prepare sales forecasts by account, product, and therapy for the territory along with proposed meetings/customer activities and investments.

Required knowledge and experience

  • Multiple years of Sales experience, ideally in the medical device industry/environment
  • Clinical or technical experience in the medical environment
  • Maintaining and acquiring new product, technology, market, sales tool, and process knowledge
  • Professional fluency written and verbal in English and German (ideally including Swiss German)
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
  • Team player attitude and ability to cooperate within a team but also be able to work independently
