Sr Manager, Finance, Pharma Platforms

POSITION PURPOSE

Zoetis seeks an experienced, proven finance leader to join the Pharma Platforms Finance team. This position will support the Pharma Platforms Finance Lead with building out financial modeling capabilities for the short- and long-term planning processes as well as tools for ongoing performance management and review.

The successful candidate will have an affinity for manufacturing and previous experience supporting multi-site global manufacturing operations. They will be able to drive operational effectiveness, efficiency and influence decision-making by translating financial impacts and scenarios and bringing a fresh perspective to the global finance team.

This position will support the Pharma Platforms Finance Lead delivering strong financial performance, reinforcing a culture of accountability for financial results at the sites while driving standardization and consistency.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Pharma Platforms Finance Lead with short- and long-term planning/forecasting and modelling for strategic manufacturing network decisions helping the leadership team to align on most efficient use of capital, resources, and available capacity.
• Support the Pharma manufacturing sites and platform leadership with cross-site complex financial analysis and modelling for major projects.
• Create insight into overall platform performance from various perspectives involving P&L data, inventory, capital etc. utilizing a variety of reporting tools (PowerBI, Excel, Anaplan etc.) and techniques (trend analysis, modeling etc.)
• Assist with month-end close activities, promote a robust financial control environment ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls where applicable, and support Platform Finance Lead with interpretation and application of corporate financial policies and accounting principles.
• Drive meaningful change in platform performance and business reviews through implementation and coordination of review meetings and materials.
• Support site finance teams in case of resource shortages with ability to function as an interim site finance lead if needed.
• Provide financial expertise for the capital review process, SCR process and other processes finance is an important contributor to.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field required
• 10+ years of progressive finance background
• MBA and/or CMA/CPA preferred
• Experience and knowledge of U.S. GAAP and other statutory requirements including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably site-level experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate at various levels across the Company.
• Ability to influence and provide direction to achieve a high level of financial performance and compliance.
• Strategic and analytical thinker with a successful track record of managing complex problems.
• Detail oriented, responsive, and proactive. Fosters clarity, transparency, consistency, and widespread understanding across the business.
• Strong understanding of financial planning and cost accounting principles.
• Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
• Work effectively in a team environment and in building collaborative relationships with peers and with other stakeholders.

• Previous experience in working in complex environments and driving change and continuous improvement while managing competing priorities.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• SAP experience highly desirable.
