Sr. Revenue Accountant

OVERVIEW  

We're seeking a Sr Revenue Accountant to join our partner's team in San Jose, Costa Rica. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to suppor our team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. It is essential to have experience with US GAAP compliance. 

This is a contract position with possible permanent placement.

RESPONSIBILITIES ·       Coordinate with various cross functional teams to gather data to evaluate and analyze the utilization of various strategic business initiatives. ·       Identify and implement process improvements, especially by leveraging new technologies such as AI. ·       Perform contract reviews related for strategic deal initiatives ensuring accurate revenue accounting in compliance with US GAAP ·       Prepare revenue accounting memos in compliance with US GAAP ·       Contribute to revenue policy definition and improvement, with a particular focus on enabling application across cross-functional teams. ·       Partner with team members across multiple offices and other partners (Finance, Legal, IT, and Sales Ops) while monitoring relevant US GAAP and SEC developments to ensure accurate Revenue Accounting. ·       Implement controls and evaluate actions required for compliance with ServiceNow revenue recognition process. ·       Complete required month-end close activities like accounting, reconciliations & reporting around revenue close. ·       Work with a multi-national team, collaborating to promote efficiency, effectiveness, and teamwork.   QUALIFICATIONS   ·       Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, CA or equivalent certification is preferred. ·       3+ years of experience within accounting for a SAAS based multinational company, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis. ·       Working knowledge of current literature related to ASC 606 is highly recommended. ·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills ·       Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines. ·       Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders including FP&A, Sales, Marketing and Information Systems. ·       Experience with MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. ·       Experience with analytical tools such as Power BI to analyze and visualize financial data. ·       Experience with SAP is preferred.   We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
