Our new Design & Build Business Unit is a dedicated team focused on delivering complete, integrated infrastructure solutions from initial concept through to operational handover. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of infrastructure delivery from the ground up.

What impact you will have

As a Structural Engineer within Submer’s new Design & Build Business Unit, you will play a critical role in shaping the structural backbone of our state-of-the-art and sustainable data center development. This is not a traditional engineering role here, structural thinking goes hand-in-hand with architectural fluency, sustainability, and technological innovation. You will collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers to ensure every build is structurally sound and beautifully integrated.

What you’ll do

• Design, model, and analyze structural systems tailored for liquid cooling-enabled data centers.
• Collaborate closely with architectural and MEP teams to create cohesive, integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Translate architectural vision into structurally feasible, code-compliant designs that support modular and scalable deployment.
• Produce detailed drawings, structural calculations, and documentation in alignment region specific building codes.
• Support early-stage project feasibility, layout planning, and technical bid documents.
• Engage in design reviews, clash detection, and BIM coordination processes.
• Assist with permitting, tendering, and contractor liaison during construction phases.
• Incorporate innovation into designs leveraging prefabrication, sustainability materials, and digital design workflows.

What you’ll need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• A strong foundation in architectural coordination.
• 10+ years of experience in structural design for high-tech, industrial, or mission-critical facilities (data center experience is preferred).
• Proficiency with structural design and BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Robot, ETABS, Tekla).
• Fluent in English with experience working in a global setting.
• A startup mindset solution-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-evolving environment.
