Senior Business Analyst - REMOTE

inventYOU is looking for an experienced and versatile Senior Business Analyst to join our growing team of consultants. This role requires a seasoned professional who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution in complex, international environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the design and implementation of innovative, robust, and compliant technical solutions that meet mission-critical objectives.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of business and data architecture aligned with modern principles, patterns, and practices.
  • Architect software solutions ensuring integration, interoperability, and governance across systems and services.
  • Drive structured requirement elicitation using business process modelling, user stories, and use case development.
  • Facilitate collaboration with stakeholders, including mentoring team members and aligning technical efforts with business goals.
  • Translate scientific and health domain needs into actionable technical specifications and solution designs.
  • Oversee and contribute to user and technical documentation, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Actively contribute to change management, stakeholder coordination, and vendor interaction throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

What You Bring

Functional Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of business, data, software, and system architecture principles.
  • Strong grasp of software development lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Expertise in software integration, interoperability, and governance (incl. AI and data governance).
  • Familiarity with Design Thinking.
  • Familiarity with health data management, epidemiological workflows, and scientific modelling.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Skills

  • Proficiency with BPMN and diagramming tools (e.g., draw.io, Lucidchart).
  • Ability to create mock-ups and wireframes in collaborative tools (e.g., Figma, Miro).
  • Skilled in Microsoft SharePoint and Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps for both operations and project administration.
  • Proficient in SQL and RDBMS, HTML, XML, JSON, and CSS.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills in English.
  • Strong communication and mentoring capabilities.
  • Effective both independently and in collaborative team environments.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in IT, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business analysis, requirements engineering, and documentation.
  • At least 10 years of experience in designing, integrating, and delivering technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience working in scientific, public health, or epidemic intelligence contexts.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary development teams and managing vendors.
  • Proven capability in data architecture and data-driven solution development.
  • Experience with open-source software, change management, and complex international projects.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of infectious disease modelling or epidemiological mathematics.
  • Certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., IIBA-CCBA/CBAP, PMI-PBA).
  • Certifications in Agile (e.g., PMI-ACP) and/or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Contributions to professional communities through publications or events.
