Key Accountabilities: 

Reporting to the relevant Team Leader/ Team Lead Support Operator this position presents a diverse and challenging role in a busy engineering environment. The primary remit of the role will encompass the following duties: 

  • To monitor live production schedules with the ability to navigate through Oracle, arranging the material from stores, complete inspection, takeoff and report any damages or shortages to stores and the relevant engineer. 
  • Identify non-conformances, complete NCR, quarantine part, report through quality and the relevant engineer ensuring parts are re-ordered and delivered promptly. 
  • To ensure materials are stored correctly in an organised manner within their specified location and that any materials leaving an area is booked out to the correct project. 
  • Pursue outstanding material whilst keeping the relevant TL/TLS updated. 
  • Maintain a clean, organised, safe working environment for colleagues and self. 
  • Ensure orderly distribution with the timely fulfilment and delivery of materials between stores and production teams. 
  • Ensure a good understanding of the parts and codes used within production. 
  • Have the ability to follow orders and work without supervision whilst being a good team player. 
  • To ensure satisfactory safety and security standards are maintained and work to health and safety requirements, attending training workshops as required. 

 

 Person Specification 

Excellent I.T. skills, be computer literate in Office Systems, e.g. Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheets, database and extensive knowledge of Excel. 

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Display initiative, be positive, organised and enthusiastic. 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service and quality assurance. 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the process of continuous review and improvement. 
  • Must have an awareness of workshop equipment, methods and procedures. 
  • Understand health and safety requirements, risk assessments and COSHH regulations. 

 

Work Environment

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.
