The Custom Silicon Solutions Evaluation team is seeking a motivated, experienced Evaluation Engineer to provide support to our Consumer BU operations, located at ADI’s Limerick site.  The successful candidate will work as part of an enthusiastic team of nearly 30 evaluation engineers spread between various locations in Europe and the Philippines working on a range of projects.  The position will involve evaluating the performance of advanced mixed signal, custom integrated circuits (IC’s).  This role will present rewarding challenges along with many opportunities, from using advanced measurement equipment and techniques to developing test sequence software in Python.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Preparation in advance of receiving new silicon in the lab.  This will involve tasks to ensure hardware and software requirements are in place ahead of silicon arrival.
  • Utilizing advanced test and measurement equipment to perform various IC measurements across IC operating voltage and temperature ranges as specified by the design team.
  • Automation of the overall measurement environment, from IC programming to test and measurement equipment control, using our customized Python framework.
  • Acquisition and post processing of measurement data to determine performance against specifications along with subsequent documentation of results in appropriate formats.
  • Non-project development work to advance the capabilities of the group in terms of hardware and/or software.

Minimum qualifications/Ideal skills

  • Working towards a qualification in Electronic Engineering (degree or equivalent).
  • Motivated self-starter.
  • Solid understanding of basic analog circuit theory.
  • Experience with Python programming language an advantage.
  • Experience with PCB schematic entry tools an advantage, preferably Cadence tools.

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering
