  Context   Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in Dublin and direct supervision of the Head of Unit, the incumbent will manage the programme’s protection requirements for Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP’s) in Ireland. This role involves assessing and addressing individual protection needs, providing referrals to specialized services, and verifying compliance with national and international protection standards. Additionally, they will monitor protection trends, collect and analyse data, and prepare reports to inform decision-making.
  1. Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring programme protection activities, verifying that an integrated approach is embedded across all project components.
  2. Support the implementation of protection mainstreaming across all project activities and provide technical guidance to team members to facilitate the integration of protection strategies into design, implementation, and evaluation.
  3. Conduct research and provide additional support to assist the Project Coordinator, Senior Integration Associate, and Senior Outreach Associate in developing and implementing protection strategy initiatives for the program.
  4. Compile, summarize, analyse, and present information/data on protection topics, highlighting noteworthy issues for the consideration of appropriate parties.
  5. Act as focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation, involving extensive liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
  6. Draft correspondence on relevant protection issues; prepare and update reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, and other forms of documentation.
  7. Respond to complex information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.
  8. Participate in meetings and conferences; maintain effective liaison and coordination with local authorities, partners, United Nation agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders relevant to the project.
  9. Provide inputs for the development of Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) and concept papers.
  10. Provide information and orientation, and assist the supervisor in coordinating and monitoring work of other staff in the unit.
  11. Perform other related duties as assigned.
