Junior Software Engineer

Description

We’re looking for a highly motivated and independent Junior Software Engineer to help expand our scanning and automation infrastructure. In this role, you’ll contribute to the systems that power Cyera’s deep cloud visibility—supporting new scanning engines, cloud services, and edge-case scenarios that emerge at the scale of our enterprise customers.This is a hands-on engineering position ideal for exceptional computer science students or recent graduates who want to grow in a fast-paced environment while working on foundational infrastructure that enables high coverage and reliability.What

You’ll Do

• In the first stages of your role, you’ll focus on building test automation for our scanning system. This involves creating and improving automation tools that ensure our platform works smoothly across different cloud environments and various edge cases.
• Extend Cyera’s scanning infrastructure to support new cloud technologies, engine versions, and edge-case environments.
• Build internal tools and automations that help simulate and validate behavior across complex cloud environment configurations.
• Contribute to backend infrastructure code that improves the robustness and breadth of our platform’s scanning capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineers across the organization to ensure robust support for new and existing product features.
• Take ownership of tasks that directly affect Cyera’s ability to scale quality and coverage.

Requirements

• A computer science or software engineering student (final year or recently graduated) with strong fundamentals in programming and problem solving.
• Able to work independently and take initiative on open-ended tasks.
• Comfortable writing and reading code in at least one general-purpose language (e.g. Python, Go, Java. Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus)
• Curious about cloud technologies and how modern systems are built and tested at scale.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to make meaningful technical contributions early in your career.
