Job Purpose

Assistant Manager MP&L is responsible for ensuring achievement of MP&L KPI across plant. Production planning & control, customer order management, outbound logistics, packaging. Production planning & control, customer order management, outbound logistics, packaging, customer coordination, MRP, Statutory, SOX & internal Audit compliance.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Transaction Management: Supervise daily receipt and material movement.
  2. Inventory Planning:  Analyze inventory variance to optimize stock levels.
  3. Documentation: Maintain IMS documentation, 5S methodologies, and safety protocols.
  4. Parts Planning: Ensure parts availability based on customer demand and supplier schedules.
  5. Supplier Coordination: Release schedules, confirm deliveries, and track daily dispatches.
  6. Quality Coordination: Address material loss and rejection issues, manage disposal processes.
  7. Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier delivery performance and escalate issues.
  8. Inventory Management: Maintain parts availability as per norms.
  9. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with warehouse, quality, PPC, production, and finance teams.
  10. Purchase Coordination: Ensure supplier capacity, manage commercial agreements, and oversee PO availability.
  11. Change Implementation: Work with PM, purchase, and quality teams to implement changes.
  12. Import Management: Handle packing lists, invoices, quotes, customs clearance, and delivery.
  13. Billing and Payments: Manage billing for forwarders/transporters, create POs, and monitor payments.
  14. New Business Management: Oversee supplier management, BOM accuracy, parts availability, scheduling agreements, ordering, safety stock, inventory management, and payment cycles.

Qualifications:

  1. Diploma/Degree in Engineering or relevant SCM certification.
  2. 8-12 years of experience in the automotive/manufacturing industry.
  3. Proven expertise in MP&L operations.
  4. Strong knowledge of Lean tools.
  5. Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion and tact.
