Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Global Trade Analyst 2 to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our organization's global trade operations by analyzing trade data, ensuring compliance with international regulations, and providing valuable insights to optimize our global supply chain. Understanding of customs documentation, INCOTERMS, Restricted Party List and HTS classification procedures. Should be well versed with SAP and Oracle GTM. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth classification and clearance of goods through customs, minimizing delays, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities :-
Review and release transaction on system hold – Review and analysis the reason for holds and follows the necessary escalation paths and release transaction holds. Analyze international trade data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks
Customs Compliance: Ensure all import/export transactions are in compliance with local, national, and international customs regulations. This includes accurate tariff classifications, duties, taxes, and adhering to import/export requirements.
Documentation Management: Prepare, review, and submit all necessary customs documentation, including commercial invoices, packing list, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other relevant documents required for customs clearance.
Tariff Classification and Restricted Party List: Classify goods based on Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes and knowledgeable in RPL /DPL process.
Coordination with Internal Departments: Liaise with internal teams, shipment requestors to facilitate the timely release of shipments and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the clearance process.
Risk Management: Identify potential compliance risks or issues in shipments, customs documentation, or processes and take corrective actions to mitigate risk and avoid penalties or delays.
Import/Export Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline Logistics operations, reduce TAT, and improve efficiency in the supply chain.
Collaboration: Work closely with logistics, procurement, and business partners to ensure smooth movement of goods across borders and to resolve any customs-related issues that may arise.
Monitor and interpret global trade regulations and their impact on the organization's operations
Prepare reports and presentations on trade analytics for management and stakeholders
Assist in developing and implementing trade operational strategies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to global trade policies
Support the maintenance of trade-related databases and documentation
Contribute to process improvements in global trade operations
Assist in customs guidelines and classification of goods
Stay up to date with changes in international trade laws and regulations
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
Experience: 4-6 years of hands-on experience in customs operations, import/export documentation, or international trade.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of INCOTERMS, Customs regulations, and compliance requirements.
Strong understanding of import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.
Proficiency in SAP and Oracle GTM ERPs.
Experience with the Harmonized System (HS) codes and classification of goods for customs purposes.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customs authorities, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when processing documents and ensuring compliance with complex regulations.
