Role Description:
Seeking the services of a young Professional Graduate with one to two years of working experience with Payspace or a Sage Superuser as a requirement.. The Professional we are looking for is someone who is looking to make a difference in their career and be part of a dynamic Team of Professional Employee’s.
The Individual will have a working knowledge of Financial & Payroll operations and understand the nature of the business with deadlines and accuracy at the main front to ensure that our client’s employees are paid on time.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting the Payroll Teams and ensuring compliance, accuracy in monthly Payroll activities
- Verification & Reconciliation of monthly payroll by the end of each month using payroll software
- Calculating of applicable salaries, bonuses and allowances
- Maintaining and updating payroll information and resolving any discrepancies within a 24 hour time period
- Ensuring compliance with time lines set for salary disbursement and statutory compliance
- Effectively plan and manage workload, managing, servicing and delivering clients payrolls to agreed deadlines to your Line Manager
Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualifications in Finance
- Payroll administrative experience or finance administration experience in a payroll environment desirable. Africa exposure would be beneficial to the position
- Strong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errors.
- Time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Demonstrable knowledge of PC literacy and software usage ideally including Word and Excel.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- Payspace experience required.
