Location: México

The Medical Affairs Manager acts as a scientific expert, supporting business units under the direction of the Medical Director. The role is responsible for defining strategy and overseeing the execution of Medical Affairs activities, including SOPs, education, publications, scientific communication, and expert engagement. It also serves as the liaison with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Commercial), providing consistent scientific input during pre-launch and commercialization phases, and contributing to strategies that enhance product differentiation and close commercial gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Galderma colleagues to provide daily guidance and support in executing medical area strategy and tactics, using resources appropriately.
  • Provides leadership and strategic direction for cross-functional company projects, particularly with Commercial and Medical Affairs teams, including Clinical Trials, Publications, Congress Activities, KOL Mapping and Development.
  • Prepares, coordinates, manages, and presents—when necessary—medical and scientific content for various medical activities, including pre-launch and post-launch initiatives such as Medical Advisory Boards, Steering Committees, Consensus Papers, Safety Boards, and Medical Dinners.
  • Oversees the development of the strategic publication plan in collaboration with Regional Medical Affairs colleagues in alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Establishes collaborative partnerships with the Customer Education team to enhance scientific differentiation of Galderma brands/products both locally and regionally, ensuring accurate and effective communication of Galderma’s strategic messages by the commercial team.
  • Directs and oversees the creation of medical and scientific content for educational, scientific, and clinical information materials in collaboration with the GAIN team and DSTS medical education and promotional teams.
  • In collaboration with other medical managers, directors, and/or medical science liaisons, generates new and innovative concepts and supports the marketing team in developing new claims backed by scientific and clinical data.
  • Manages Field-Based Medical teams (MSLs), if applicable.
  • Provides leadership, strategic planning, and oversight of interactions with national and international external experts to identify scientific gaps, emerging trends, clinical trial opportunities, and business development prospects.
  • Builds and manages relationships with key local medical societies.
  • Acts as a clinical consultant, offering clinical, technical, and product knowledge support to current and potential customers, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and delivering training at all levels.
  • Ensures the scientific integrity of all promotional claims and materials.

Education/Training:
Medical Doctor or Healthcare Professional with an advanced degree required (MD or PhD).

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years in industry roles.
  • Must have: Previous experience with immunobiologics.
  • Nice to have: Prior experience in dermatology and launch of immunobiologics from a Medical Affairs perspective.

  • English Fluent Level
  • Demonstrates the ability to interface effectively with a variety of technical platforms for the collection, review, and dissemination of medical information
  • Experience within a corporate setting and an understanding of the relationship between marketing/brand teams and medical/regulatory affairs teams is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Meeting planning and facilitation skills required
  • Strong analytical and organization skills required
