Job Description

We are looking for a Sr. Accountant to join our Penang accounting team and working closely with US accounting team. We are a global organization, and you will play a key role in our accounting operations and financial closing including but no limit to preparing reporting packages, performing account reconciliations, assisting with consolidations and intercompany entries, maintain the general ledgers, supporting audits and performing other accounting functions as assigned. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare full set of accounts and produces report of financial statement monthly and yearly.
• Strong knowledge of financial bookkeeping procedures.
• Consolidation, inter-company transactions and reconciliations
• Assisting with internal and external audit for mid-year and year-end audit support.
• Ability to solve complex accounting problems and errors.
• Prepare Financial Statements and produce Management Report.

Qualifications

• Professional Certificate / Degree in Accountancy or any professional accountancy body with at least 5 years of experience in accounting. mix of experience in public accounting, Internal Audit, or corporate accounting would be preferred 
• Good communication skills
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Corporate accounting experience including handling a variety of general ledger functions, month-end close, international accounting and consolidation, foreign exchange.
• Learn in a fast- pace environment and be able to work with all resource levels within the company
• Experience in internal control/SOX is an added advantage
• Experience with large ERP systems e.g SAP is higher preferred
