Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded Senior Manager – Regional Marketing (Africa) to lead our marketing efforts across Africa, with a particular focus on Nigeria as a key market in the region. In this pivotal role, you will drive regional marketing initiatives that support client acquisition, engagement, and conversion—playing a central part in optimizing our client onboarding funnel. 

You will combine a deep understanding of digital marketing with a strong grasp of local market dynamics. This role requires a proactive, data-driven marketer who thrives in cross-functional environments and can translate commercial objectives into actionable marketing strategies. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Regional Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute data-led marketing plans that support the company’s commercial objectives across Africa, with Nigeria as a priority. Tailor campaigns to local market needs while aligning with the global brand and product strategy. 
  • Commercial Focus: Collaborate closely with regional sales, product, and partnerships teams to ensure marketing activities directly support pipeline growth, conversion rates, and overall business impact. 
  • Onboarding Funnel Optimization: Partner with product, design, and marketing ops to improve the client onboarding journey. Use data and user insights to identify friction points and optimize conversion paths. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the marketing lead for the region, working closely with internal teams across Product, Payments, Compliance, Sales, and Partnerships to ensure alignment and efficiency in go-to-market execution. 
  • Regional Advocacy: Act as the internal champion for the African region, providing recommendations, and updates to leadership and internal teams. You’ll share market insights, campaign performance, and recommendations to improve relevance and growth in the region

Qualifications

Essential: 

  • Proven experience in a regional marketing or growth-focused role, ideally within Africa and with deep exposure to the Nigerian market. 
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, tools, and strategies—especially around acquisition and lifecycle marketing. 
  • Commercially minded, with a track record of aligning marketing with business goals and measurable impact. 
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, sales, and technical teams. 
  • Ability to analyse funnel metrics and user behavior to drive marketing improvements. 
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills. 
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential. 

Desirable: 

  • Qualification (BA degree or equivalent professional experience. 
  • Working experience within a Brokerage environment.
