Test Automation Engineer

Introduction to the job

ASML’s Digital Platform with its application is becoming critical in the semiconductor manufacturing process. Software system level testing is a very important step in the development process of our products and ensures that the system meets specifications. To be able to test this quickly and consistently it is key the system level testing is automated to provide important input to the product release decision making process.

Role and responsibilities

The Software Engineer of the Full Stack test automation solution designs, documents, integrates and/or tests, creating value for ASML and its customers.

• End-to-end responsibility with the whole team (through the lifetime) of simulators, test framework and test cases
• Execution of technical work: specification, design, test, integration and validation
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous testing
• Enhance automation frameworks and implement best practices for test automation
• Ensures quality of technical deliverables and following the way of working as agreed in the relevant function or technical competence
• Speaks up on cases where technical or architectural limitations (will) cause impediments
• Technically aligns cross-sector deliverables
• Using the team’s learnings on the product to improve the product and the team’s performance

Education and experience

Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.

• You have between 3-7 years of experience as a Software Tester in a complex software development organization;
• You have experience with test automation and test automation frameworks;
• You have experience with version control systems (e.g Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g Bamboo, Jenkins);
• You are ISTQB certified (advanced level);
• Expert regarding Robot Framework and Python;
• Knowledge of Docker and containerized testing environments;
• You have experience with automated testing and with several test techniques.

Skills

You are flexible, result driven, entrepreneur with a “make it happen attitude”, are a good communicator and a self-starter. You have an eye for detail and are accurate in the work execution. You can combine pragmatism in execution with a structural process approach.
