The role of an HR Business Partner (HRBP) is to enable the delivery of the People Vision through closely collaborating and working with the HR Communities of Expertise (CoEs) and People Services. The role will directly partner with a wide range of key senior leaders & areas, from operational teams to tribes and CoE’s within COO (Chief Operations Office). The HRBP position directly reports to the HRBP Lead COO for the Netherlands and is based in Amsterdam.

The HR Business Partners for COO are part of HR Netherlands and partner with business leaders within the COO domain.
COO Netherlands deploys critical shared services across business lines and as ING Netherlands' largest department, handles the majority of the bank’s person-to-person customer interactions, and executes the day-to-day operations that keep our bank running. The work of the COO domain is foundational to the success of ING Netherlands’ strategy.

Roles & responsibilities
As HRBP you work closely with business leaders and their management teams in shaping and implementing business strategy and the HR people agenda. You are responsible for building a strong relationship with the business, you bring in-depth specialist knowledge in multiple HR areas of expertise. Equally, as HRBP you have strong business acumen and work well in diverse international teams. Participating in management team meetings, as HRBP you coach and build the capabilities of business leaders and their management teams on the people strategy. You also provide them with global people solutions that will support the business strategy.
You play a tactical role in implementing global people solutions, developed by the HR experts, within the business they are responsible for.

As HRBP you also feed back the business needs and context to the HR experts, so they can create new or change existing people solutions. There will also be an opportunity to take on a point of contact role in an area of interest, such as learning, data, vitality, leadership, engagement etc within the HRBP NL team.
