Job Description
The Logistics Operations Quality and Continuous Improvement Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of On Time In Full (OTIF) reason coding related to quality issues in customer shipments. Their responsibilities include regular validation and finalization of these codes. Additionally, this role involves data mining and analysis to uncover trends and pinpoint areas of significant concern. These insights can then be leveraged to develop ideas for enhancing quality throughout the customer supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Enhance customer relationships by identifying areas for improvement in the overall customer experience
Perform regular in-depth analysis of OTIF reason code submissions to ensure accuracy
Validate, correct, and finalize OTIF reason codes in ticket submissions on a regular basis
Monitor and maintain the accuracy of customer core OTIF metrics, communicating any potential risks
Take ownership and create effective Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCAs) and identify critical issues
Summarize and present key insights and trends gleaned from reason code validation, RCCAs, and quality issues
Translate trends and insights into continuous improvement opportunities with a significant impact on OTIF realization
Measure the impact and value of identified insights and recommendations, prioritizing them accordingly
Collaborate in the development and updating of weekly reports, dashboards, and presentations that provide stakeholders with insights into quality and continuous improvement
Communicate with Site Operations Managers to share trends, insights, and recommendations
Assist in the translation of recommendations into actionable plans and projects
Support the execution of Quality-related projects and implement necessary process changes and initiatives to improve OTIF
Coordinate and collaborate with various parties, including customer stakeholders, warehouses, carriers, and service providers, to support OTIF initiatives
Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional departments
Stay informed about best practices in supply chain and process improvement methods, proactively applying new knowledge to enhance processes
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with a specialization in Supply Chain , related field or equivalent experience
3+ years logistics, supply chain, large scale warehouse operations or related experience
1+ years experience with problem solving via data analysis including suggesting, implementing and tracking process improvements
Knowledge of Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, SQL and dashboard reporting is preferred
Proficiency in using Google Suite tools, including Google Sheets, for data analysis and information sharing
Excellent customer service skills, including a proven ability to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
Risk sensitive, recognizes when problems arise or are likely to arise
Ability to use critical thinking to develop, evaluate, recommend and present best options
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
