About the role:

We are looking for a Class 2 Delivery Driver to join our busy team.  The purpose of this role is to complete safe, timely and effective movement and delivery of customer orders, and to consistently provide excellent customer service.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) to be worked Monday to Friday, with a 6am start.  Additional hours may be required to be worked during peak times. The hourly rate is $27.89 - $29.59, dependant on the successful applicant’s skills and experience.

Successful applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment health assessment, drug & alcohol test, ACC and Ministry of Justice Criminal Conviction History check.

Key Accountabilities:

• Safely and effectively carry out all scheduled and short notice deliveries to Foodstuffs and Trents customers on time and within company guidelines
• Safely load and unload vehicles in line with site operating procedures
• Ensure you operate within all legal/NZTA/NZ driving requirements at all times including all E-Road logbook entries
• Actively engage in the company Health & Safety programme and ensure all guidelines are consistently followed
• Support the purpose, vision and values of Foodstuffs and Trents.

About you:

• Full, clean, current NZ driver’s licence with all necessary classes/endorsements 
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills
• Good level of physical fitness and the ability to complete regular lifting up to 25 kgs
• Proven customer service experience and the ability to think on your feet to offer solutions
• Knowledge of the local area/region
• orklift licence is desirable
