The Gene Technology Establishment team is a temporary project team set up to be focused on the establishment and delivery of the new Gene Technology Regulator function.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Information Management Advisor to join our Gene Technology establishment team for a fixed-term opportunity, with the potential to be extended.
The role will identify, review and prepare existing records to support delivery of the proposed Gene Technology Regulator function.

We are looking for someone with a range of skills and experience – if you have some or all of the below, we would love to hear from you.
NCEA Level 3 (or equivalent) or relevant experience – however a tertiary qualification (or work towards) in information management would be desirable.
ability to manage and track a large quantity of information.
understanding of the requirements and obligations of the Public Records Act 2005, as well as good practice around digital records management.
Sound knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, and Excel. Experience with Sharepoint Online or other information management systems is desirable.
being self-motivated, driven to deliver, able to manage multiple tasks and set priorities, and achieve quality results in tight deadlines.
strong attention to detail and ensuring accurate delivery.
strong communication skills and an enabling mindset are a must for this role.
being a great team player who exhibits skills and behaviours which support a positive, collaborative and professional team culture.
work closely with existing EPA teams around the management of information.
An interest in environmental management, genetic science or biological systems would be a plus.

$64,430 – $96,646 Salary range per annum (midpoint $80,538)
This is the full salary range. Appointments will likely be made at or below the midpoint of this range, depending on skills and experience. An appointment at the midpoint assumes 100% competency in the role, with the full band covering a range of 80% - 120%.
