Job Description

We’re literally the 'nuts and bolts' of NZ’s engineering, building, marine, and dairy sectors. As a Quality Control Officer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the quality of our fasteners and hardware. We’re after someone who’s either a recent graduate or has practical experience in a trade, fasteners, or a similar industry.

What will you do each day?

• Inspect and test samples of incoming goods accurately and efficiently
• Manage the PMI (Positive Material Identification) testing programme and maintain our X-Ray Spectrometer, including regular calibration and servicing
• Test potential new products to ensure they comply with requirements (PMI and dimensional)
• Outsource and manage any additional QC testing required (E.g. Tensile)
• Be the first point of call for any quality or faulty stock issues
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Have fun while working as part of a friendly team

We’re after someone who is:

• Strong with numbers, data, and Excel
• Strong with chemistry and physics – has a basic elementary knowledge or keen to learn
• Able to read and report on product specifications and test reports
• Detail-oriented, organised, and reliable
• A good problem solver with a practical mindset
• Mechanical / Civil Engineering or a trade background ideal
• Respectful, with great communication skills who strives for excellence
