About the Role
The IT Associate plays a crucial role in providing technical support, maintaining IT systems, and assisting with various IT projects for internal team members as well as client. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to kickstart their career in Information Technology
Responsibilities
Provide first-level technical support to end-users, addressing team-member’s desktop hardware and software issues promptly.
Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems, escalating complex issues to senior team members when necessary.
Assist in the administration and maintenance of servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure components.
Perform routine system monitoring and implement basic system configurations.
Monitor and respond to IT helpdesk tickets raised and adhere to SLA response and resolution time.
Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts as per company policies.
Ensure proper access controls and permissions for users.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
Conduct routine updates and patches to ensure system security.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
Create user guides and documentation to assist end-users.
Assist in tracking and managing IT assets, including computers, peripherals, and software licenses.
Conduct periodic inventories to ensure accurate asset records.
Work collaboratively with other IT team members to address issues and complete tasks
Communicate effectively with end-users, providing clear instructions and support.
Adhere to and promote IT security policies and best practices.
Assist in the implementation of security measures to safeguard company data.
Support IT projects by assisting with tasks such as research, testing, and documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science or related course and experience
With atleast 1 year experience in IT support, asset management, helpdesk roles or similar
Knowledgeable in Computer and Technology support
Good communication skills
Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
Strong work ethic – must be self-motivated and able to take the initiative to get the job done
