The Perigon

The Perigon turns the familiar beachfront slab into a bundle of interlocking residential volumes. OMA’s New York team, led by Jason Long, rotates the components to open views towards the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay. Curved terraces meet straighter edges, making the larger building read as several connected forms. The raised ends create sheltered space beneath the building rather than a continuous wall along Collins Avenue. Landscape design is by Gustafson Porter + Bowman, interiors by Tara Bernerd & Partners, with ODP Architects as executive architect. The project contains 82 condominiums across 17 storeys. This is a project under construction, rather than an unbuilt design proposal. The images show architectural visualisations of the intended building.
