What you will do:
Help build and develop the Accounts Payable team for US & Canada from the ground up, including hiring, onboarding, and defining team structure and priorities.
Coordinate the transition of AP activities from the US to Lisbon, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer and continuity of operations.
Oversee the end-to-end invoice processing and settlement process, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting principles, and adherence to Essity’s global policies.
Monitor team performance, track KPIs, and provide coaching, feedback, and development support to 4 direct reports to drive operational excellence.
Delegate tasks and define priorities, ensuring efficient workload distribution and successful execution of daily operations.
Drive continuous process improvement, identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions within the global matrix environment.
Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and addressing any audit findings promptly.
Ensure adherence to internal controls, legal regulations, and accounting standards to maintain integrity and accuracy across all AP processes.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or an equivalent qualification.
Leadership experience or a background serving as a backup to a team lead, with a preference for familiarity with the US and Canada market.
Proficient in SAP, InvoiceTrack, MS Office, and Workday.
Strong in leadership, communication, and collaboration, with a proven ability to establish new processes and adapt flexibly to changing environments.
Fluent in English - All Applicants are requested to deliver their CV in English language.
