Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior MEP Estimator to join our team!
What You'll Be Doing:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems based on project specifications, blueprints, and other documents.
Analyze drawings and specifications to understand project requirements and scope.
Perform quantity takeoffs for MEP systems to determine the materials, equipment, and labor required for the project.
Ensure accuracy in measuring and counting all necessary components
Prepare and submit detailed and competitive bid proposals for MEP systems.
Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Develop and manage budgets for MEP components of construction projects.
Ensure estimates align with overall project budgets and financial goals.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Ability to analyze project documents, specifications, and blueprints to accurately determine the scope and costs of MEP systems.
Proficiency in identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and risk factors.
Strong grasp of financial principles related to budgeting, cost control, and value engineering.
Ability to prepare and manage budgets effectively for MEP systems.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 15+ years of proven experience in a similar role
Middle East experience 5+ years
Familiarity with advanced estimation software and tools, including Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
Experience with integrated project management and cost control software.
Knowledge of specific sectors within MEP systems, such as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical systems and plumbing systems.
Understanding of sustainable building practices and green construction methods.
