Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Constructability Manager - Technical to play a critical role in ensuring that all infrastructure design elements are practical and efficient to build, minimizing risks, delays, and costs during execution. This role is essential in bridging the gap between design and construction, contributing to safer, more efficient, and high-quality project delivery.

What You'll Be Doing;

  • Lead the review of design documents to identify constructability issues, inconsistencies, or challenges before construction begins.
  • Evaluate construction feasibility, sequence, and safety of proposed designs and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Work with design consultants to ensure that design solutions consider construction methodology, access, materials, and safety.
  • Act as a technical liaison between the design, construction, and project management teams to ensure alignment on constructability.
  • Influence the design process to improve construction efficiency, reduce rework, and optimize cost.
  • Validate that temporary works and construction staging are effectively incorporated into the design documents.
  • Support the development of construction methodologies, sequences, and logistics plans in coordination with engineering and construction teams.
  • Advise on alternative construction techniques and materials to enhance safety, quality, or productivity.
  • Ensure construction planning reflects environmental, geotechnical, and logistical constraints.
  • Provide technical support during site activities to address constructability-related challenges.
  • Assist in resolving field issues related to unforeseen conditions or design discrepancies.
  • Lead lessons learned reviews and apply findings to improve future constructability assessments.
  • Collaborate with client representatives, consultants, and contractors to ensure constructability recommendations are understood and implemented.
  • Participate in design review workshops, value engineering sessions, and technical interface meetings.
  • Ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on the construction implications of design decisions.
  • Identify constructability risks early and provide mitigation strategies to reduce impact on cost, schedule, or safety.
  • Ensure that construction-related hazards are addressed in the design (Design for Safety).
  • Coordinate with HSE teams to ensure integration of safety into construction plans and temporary works.
  • Prepare constructability review reports, risk assessments, and technical memos to document issues and recommendations.
  • Track implementation of constructability solutions and maintain a constructability log/register.
  • Provide periodic updates to project leadership on constructability status, critical risks, and mitigation actions.

What Required Skills You'll Bring;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 15 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project delivery on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in constructability reviews and managing design-to-construction transitions.\Strong field experience combined with technical engineering knowledge.
  • Deep understanding of construction methodologies, temporary works, and project phasing.
  • Familiarity with international construction standards, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in construction planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM tools).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
  • PMP or CM-Lean certification.
  • Experience working in a design-build or EPC environment.
  • Knowledge of digital construction tools, including 4D scheduling and BIM-based constructability.
  • Experience with sustainability and environmental compliance in construction planning.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC or similar contract frameworks.
  • Multilingual abilities (e.g., Arabic) considered an asset.
