Irrigation Engineer
JASARA PMC is looking for a skilled and motivated Irrigation Engineer to join our exceptional team dedicated to leading impactful infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia. As a joint venture of Public Investment Fund (PIF), Jacobs, and Saudi Aramco, JASARA PMC focuses on delivering sustainable and innovative solutions in social infrastructure, contributing towards the goals of Vision 2030. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and managing irrigation systems that enhance the sustainability and productivity of our landscape projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage irrigation systems for various landscape and civil engineering projects.
- Conduct field assessments and surveys to determine irrigation needs and requirements for specific projects.
- Collaborate with landscape architects and engineers to integrate irrigation solutions into landscape designs effectively.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for irrigation designs.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of irrigation systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect and monitor irrigation systems during construction to ensure effective performance and maintenance.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for irrigation systems during the installation and operational phases.
- Stay abreast of current technologies and practices in irrigation design and management.
- Recommend sustainable practices and innovations in water management to enhance irrigation effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in irrigation design and project management, preferably in landscape or civil engineering.
- Proficient in irrigation design software and tools, such as AutoCAD and hydraulic modeling software.
- Strong understanding of water management principles, irrigation systems, and landscape sustainability practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good project management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of local regulations and standards related to water use and irrigation is a plus.
