As a CAE Engineer, you will work on vehicle design and optimization projects (automobiles, mechanical components, thermal systems, etc.).
Your main responsibilities:
- Conduct finite element analyses (FEA) on automotive components, particularly for safety analysis, material strength, thermal, dynamic, and vibrational performance.
- Optimize the design of vehicles and components (structure, suspension, engine, body, etc.) to meet performance, safety, and cost requirements.
- Perform numerical validation of new concepts and products through precise simulations, in collaboration with design and industrialization teams.
- Analyze simulation results and propose continuous improvement solutions for designs.
- Write detailed technical reports outlining simulation results, optimization recommendations, and technical choices.
- Collaborate with internal teams (design, R&D, testing) and clients to integrate technical specifications into projects.
- Participate in evaluating vehicle performance in crash tests, active and passive safety, and dynamic behaviors (collision tests, fatigue tests, etc.).
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or master's in mechanics, automotive engineering, civil engineering, or a similar field.
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in numerical simulation in the automotive sector, ideally on vehicle design, automotive safety, or dynamic performance projects.
- Proficiency in CAE simulation software (ANSYS, Abaqus, Nastran, Hyperworks, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of finite elements (FEA) and simulation methods for mechanical structures, composite materials, thermal and vibrational components.
- Competence in crash test analysis and automotive safety tests is a plus.
- Good command of vehicle design and optimization processes.
- Technical English required (written and spoken), proficiency in German is a plus.
- Rigor and analytical skills to interpret simulation results and propose improvements.
- Excellent communication to work in a team and report your results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
