QA/QC Engineer (Mechanical) - Contract

Responsibilities
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical submittals to ensure alignment with project requirements.
Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate piping and Mechanical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) systems seamlessly into existing building design, ensuring compatibility and optimal operation.
Monitor and ensure all MEICA works are carried out according to the latest revision mechanical drawing and complies with contract specification and quality management system.
Arrange, coordinate and carry out all the inspection with customer representative and / or ITA as per the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
Perform material equipment incoming are as per Vendor document.
Verify NDT are done as per approved NDT plan & procedures.
Verify preservation are being performed as per preservation plan & procedures.
Check and endorse inspection record prior to issue to customers
Report any non-conformance (NC) and issue corrective action request (CAR), where necessary.
Prepare Piping / Equipment / Instrument Test packs, perform Line Walk and issuance punch list
Verify mechanical MDR is as per construction prior to release the product released for onsite erection.
Collaborate closely with the client / stakeholders, addressing technical inquiries and ensuring Piping and MEICA systems align with their installation requirements.
Ensure strict safety protocols and industry regulations on the construction site.
Experience in Steam Piping to comply MOM guidelines
Familiar with PED / BS EN ISO codes to comply project requirements
Provide regular project updates, technical reports to the Construction Manager.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the planning and construction of major process industry projects.
Proven track record in large scale projects, coordinating internal / external stakeholders – HSE, QA, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Client, Authorities.
Mandatory to have CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector and NDT level 2 certified.
Able to identify and address construction challenges and issues promptly.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance requirements related to construction.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Good knowledge of large scale MEICA equipment and systems.
Excellent coordination skills and communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Able to work with a diverse team.
Able to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines.
