Prepare and analyze daily profit and loss (P&L) reports for trading desks.
Reconcile front-office reported P&L with back-office records and accounting systems.
Perform daily checks on valuation and booking consistency across systems.
Investigate and resolve P&L discrepancies and valuation breaks.
Develop a detailed understanding of the products traded, including structured notes, options, swaps, bonds, equities, FX, and commodities.
Monitor new product implementations and assess their financial impact.
Validate trade bookings and lifecycle events (e.g., settlements, coupons, corporate actions).
Support monthly and quarterly financial close processes.
Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and regulatory standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP).
Collaborate with external and internal auditors during audits.
Work closely with Front Office, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams to support business activities.
Act as a key contact for Front Office inquiries on P&L and balance sheet matters.
Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting.
Identify control gaps and recommend process improvements.
Support the implementation of system enhancements and control frameworks.
Master's or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantitative Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
CPA/CA/CFA is a plus.
3–7 years of experience in Product Control, Financial Reporting, or a similar role in investment banking, asset management, or a financial institution.
Solid experience working with securities and derivatives products (e.g., Equities, Fixed Income, FX, OTC derivatives).
Strong understanding of financial products and market dynamics.
Proficient in P&L attribution, financial valuation, and accounting for complex products.
Excellent Excel skills; experience with tools like Python, SQL, or VBA is a plus.
Familiarity with Trading systems, such as Murex, Calypso, etc...
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
