About the Position

Reporting directly to SVP, Underwriter. The Senior Analyst role is based in the Singapore office.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Analyst oversees administration of submission/deal workflow, produces information to assist Underwriters with decision making and monitors deal level activity to ensure adequate servicing of the business.

You will:

  • Have comprehensive knowledge of the (re)insurance market, preferably in property class of business
  • Have knowledge of the reinsurance underwriting process, including an understanding of (re)insurance structures and contractual terms and conditions of (re)insurance
  • Correspond management of submissions, data requests, quotes, authorizations and contract wordings
  • Compile statistical data relating to treaty experience
  • Develop relationships with brokers and clients through regular interactions and meetings, understand their motivations and the negotiation process
  • Communicate at all levels of the organization and externally

Candidate Qualifications:

You will have:

  • A College or university degree
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in reinsurance industry
  • Strong computer skills required with advanced knowledge of excel preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • An ability to express a point-of-view and receive feedback from others
  • The ability to operate in a fast-paced underwriting environment where you will need to multi-task and ensure timeliness and accuracy in your work
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and respect cultural differences
  • Travel required
