Internal and external candidates will be considered for this vacancy. Organizational Context and Scope
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Thailand implements a range of national and regional projects aimed at addressing migration challenges and delivering increased protection and assistance to vulnerable migrants in partnership with government, civil society, and private sector counterparts.
Through the Immigration Border Governance, Counter Trafficking and Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration programming, IOM Thailand implements national and regional projects aimed at addressing migration challenges and delivering assistance and enhancing the protection of vulnerable migrants in partnership with government, civil society, and private sector counterparts. IOM is implementing projects that provides protection support to the vulnerable migrants and victims of trafficking, policy strengthening and capacity building program as well as strengthen partnership and community engagements.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Program Manager, and in coordination with the Policy and Programme Support Coordinator, the Project Officer will provide technical and administrative support to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Thailand in advancing migration policies, streamline protection approaches and enhance protection services of vulnerable migrants and victims of trafficking in Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar and Cambodia.

IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish.
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, and Spanish) and/or Thai is an advantage.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
