The role
As a Tool Store Supplier, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for the acceptance, storage, release, and disposal of tools into and out of central storage area in accordance with the Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory Framework.
Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
Ensure that tooling/equipment being used is tracked and recorded including a statement of condition, labelling and any other appropriate documentation for each item. Manage tool tallies or labels as part of tool control.
Ensure tool kits remain locked when in storage and that the keys are held securely in the tool store.
You will be responsible for ensuring timely inspection, servicing and calibration of appropriate tools and equipment by people under their supervision.
Ensure that surplus or redundant tooling/equipment is removed from maintenance environment and quarantined or disposed.
Comply with all Work Processes/Policies; Health & Safety Legislation; Quality and Environmental Regulations as directed by Babcock International and BAE Systems.
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Valley.
Essential experience of the Tool Store Supplier:
Proven evidence of prioritise tasks and reporting through correct processes any discrepancies and signing for work accomplished.
Previous working in roles requiring attention to details and knowledge of human factors, human performance and limitations.
Previously evidenced the ability to identify and rectify existing and potential unsafe conditions.
Previous roles requiring knowledge of occurrence reporting system and understanding of the importance of reporting occurrences and existing or potential hazards.
Knowledge of safety risks linked to the working environment in a previous role.
Qualifications for the Tool Store Supplier:
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
Computer literate experience of computer databases
UK Driving licence (manual)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
