ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Network Engineer to join our team in MacDill, Florida. This is an onsite position.
As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Your effort will go towards dramatically increasing the warfighter’s effectiveness. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Architect and design enterprise-level network solutions that set new industry standards
Lead major network projects and initiatives, ensuring success from concept to completion
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the network engineering team
Collaborate with other departments to align network strategy with business objectives
Stay current with emerging network technologies and trends to keep us at the forefront
Provides technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), and public switched telephone networks
Plans, designs, installs, maintains, monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, modifies, and supports network communications systems to provide maximum performance and availability
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS degree or High School Diploma and 6 years of additional relevant experience or Associate's Degree and 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
12+ years of experience in network engineering
Expert knowledge of network architecture and design principles
Extensive experience with network security and compliance standards
Experience in multi-level security networks including cross-domain solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications such as CCIE or equivalent
Master’s degree and or Ph.D
Experience with network automation and orchestration to streamline operations
Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid environments to support modern infrastructures
Familiarity with DevOps practices to enhance collaboration and efficiency
Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire and guide teams
Ability to think strategically and drive innovation across the organization
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
