The Director, Media for Americas is a critical role within the Marketing & Communications team. As the leader for the paid media investment; the individual is responsible for stewarding the investment of the brand for visibility, crafting media strategies that are sophisticated and thoughtful, whilst ensuring that all execution is flawless and detail oriented. The role will lead a team of media specialists and be able to mentor and guide their development. The role will intersect with the Global Marketing team and be a key stakeholder in the local execution of their strategy.
Key Accountabilities:
Oversee all phases of the media planning process from strategy development: briefing, activation, optimization and performance reporting
Strong grasp of the traditional and digital media landscape and ability to recommend sound strategies rooted in consumer insights and trends
Hands on experience guiding performance media models (ie. Social, Programmatic, Digital partnerships) with balanced view on brand image and performance goals
Keep current with industry news, digital trends, platforms and experiences that can inform planning, drive innovation and business performance
Develop, manage, and innovate Media Guidelines annually to best reflect the changing media landscape for the Americas region
Strong relationships with media vendors and a reputation built on trust and rigor Attention to detail and focus on quality control and media accountability
Experience managing agency teams and working on agency scope negotiations, briefing process and championing the best outputs from the partnership
Build a strong collaborative working relationship with cross-functional teams in HQ and on a regional level at Tiffany & Co. and LVMH
Nurture a high-performing team of resident media subject matter experts
Showcase strong collaboration and leadership skills. Have ability to adapt to various audiences and work styles, provide solid, well-thought-out recommendations & solicit buy-in
Be comfortable interacting with senior leaders on a regular basis
Ability to manage large budgets with strict financial stewardship and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
10-12 years in media experience, preferably with agency background + in house experience (4 year undergraduate degree in marketing, media, communications or related field is mandatory)
Strong knowledge of digital and social and emerging technologies \
Management of media budgets
Strong communication skills
Experience managing agencies
Must be able to set and adjust priorities independently
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Solid interpersonal and communication skill
Experience or deep understanding of working with luxury brands
The hiring range for this position ranges from $180,000 - $200,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience. Management is also eligible for bonus.
