Community Engagement Liaison - 009603

Purpose/Description

The Community Engagement Liaison is responsible for coordinating and managing all efforts related to community interaction. This position plays a role in development of strategic initiative that build and maintain relationships in the community, police departments and the Prosecutor's Office.

Required Tasks

  • Perform outreach efforts to ensure law enforcement initiatives can respond to concerns and challenges identified by the community.
  • Determine possible solutions and strategies to address community needs with the resources that the Prosecutor's Office has to offer.
  • Identify and engage with diverse groups of people to make them aware of services they may not otherwise be aware of.
  • Cultivate and collaborate with other community bases programs, organization and leaders to strategically execute outreach initiatives
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate outreach events, workshops, and presentations
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of outreach programs and initiatives
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to achieve outreach goals
  • Develop and Implement community engagement initiatives and program tailored to the unique needs and characteristic of the need
  • Disseminate information from the Wayne County Prosecutor's Department to residents. communicating feedback, concerns, and suggestions.
  • Assist with the Prosecutor's Office Programs.
  • Attend and/or advance community meetings to serve as liaison for the Prosecutor's Office with the community.
  • Follow-up phone calls to residents of the community and all Wayne County Police Departments.
  • Other duties deemed necessary.

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate's degree (preferred)

Experience Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience in community outreach, government public, non-profit, municipal sector.
