We are seeking a skilled Software Analyst to join our dynamic team responsible for the development and enhancement of features for a key business system. Operating within a Big Data and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Environment the Analyst will play a critical role in performing both Business Analysis and Systems Analysis to ensure effective design and delivery of robust technical solutions, focusing on defining source and target data.
Responsibilities
Business and Systems analysis of complex requirements.
Mapping of data from source to target. Define Data Ingestion specifications.
You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Developers and Scrum master to translate complex business requirements into well-defined systems solutions.
Conduct end-to-end business and systems analysis, including impact assessments, requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation.
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications within a GCP-based architecture.
Support testing efforts by assisting in the creation of test scenarios and reviewing test results for completeness and accuracy.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including planning, grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Maintain comprehensive and clear documentation of analysis work, including process flows, data mapping, and interface specifications.
Problem solving and Diagnostic work
Create and update required documents and JIRA tickets
Facilitating Business and Functional Design sessions and various meetings with clients
Taking responsibility during the sprint cycle to resolve any business and functional related issues
Identify and propose improvements to system functionality and team processes.
Mentor junior team members
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Educational Qualifications:
Matric / Grade 12 essential
3-year Degree / N. Diploma or B-Tech / Computer Science/Engineering degree
Business Analysis course/certification (Beneficial)
Experience
6+ years of experience in Business and Systems Analysis within large-scale IT projects
Big Data / ETL experience
Experience working in a Cloud environment, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
Experience in Agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence.
